Stirridge Paul. Will made 10 March 1718/9. Proved 10 May 1719.
In the Name of God Amen I Paul Stirridge of Road in the County of Somerset Vellmonger being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory do make ordain and appoint this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth. Imprimis.
I give and bequeath unto my son Paul and to his heirs for ever or that ground or paddock adjoining to the house in which I now live and all appurtenances thereunto belonging and the sum of forty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto my said son Paul when he shall attain the age of one and twenty years.
Item. I give unto my son William all that tenement house and garden in Road aforesaid in which Thomas Waite now lives which said tenement with the appurtenances I do give to my said son William and his heirs for ever.
Item. I give to my said son William an estate of leasehold lying and being at or near Dilton Marsh in the parish of Westbury in the County of Wilts commonly known by the name of Rooks Grove and all my right title and claim at and to the same when he my said son William shall attain to the age of one and twenty years.
Item. I give unto my son James and to his heirs for ever all those two tenements in Road aforesaid in which Anthony Webb and George Cromwell do now live.
Item. All the rest and residue of my personal estate whether goods or chattels I give devise and bequeath the same unto Frances my loving wife and I do nominate and appoint my full and whole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of March in the fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of Great Britain France and Ireland King etc Anno Domini1718/19.
