Rode Walking Group is a sociable group which meets at 10am on the second Thursday of each month. The details of each month’s walk are normally published in The Link, or details can be obtained from Liz Dinnis (details below).
The walks are moderate, certainly not strenuous, and no longer than 5 miles in length. Usually less than this depending on conditions such as weather, terrain etc. Mostly within the local area and often driving a few miles to a starting point, car sharing of course! The walks follow a circular route, finding coffee stops where possible or even ending at one, then returning to the parked cars.
The walks follow a “stop and stare” principle and have been known to take a diversion if an exceptional viewpoint or a rural church, for instance, take the interest of the group.
June’s walk will be in the area of Tytherington, starting at 10 am.
Walking is an excellent social and healthy activity and all ages and abilities are welcomed!
